Ancient Egypt Ancient Egypt had an Effective Civilization, because they had good geography, technology, and economy. They also had a writing system, government, laws, and society. In addition, they had religion, art, and architecture. Egypt is located in northern Africa. The _Nile River is the longest river in the world. It flows northward through Egypt. The Nile empties into the _Mediterranean Sea. The Nile River helped people to get places.
